This is an update regarding the latest quarantine protocols from the department of public health. Vaccinated persons with an exposure to someone with suspected or confirmed COVID-19 are not required to quarantine if they meet all of the following criteria: 1. Are fully vaccinated (i.e., ≥2 weeks following receipt of the second dose in a 2-dose series, or ≥2 weeks following receipt of one dose of a single-dose vaccine) 2. Are within 3 months following receipt of the last dose in the series 3. Have remained asymptomatic since the current COVID-19 exposure Fully vaccinated persons who do not quarantine should still watch for symptoms of COVID-19 for 14 days following an exposure. If they experience symptoms, they should be clinically evaluated for COVID-19, including SARS-CoV-2 testing, if indicated. In addition, they should respond to calls or texts from their local health department and engage in contact tracing efforts if requested to do so. Persons who do not meet all 3 of the above criteria should continue to follow current CDPH quarantine guidance after exposure to someone with suspected or confirmed COVID-19. That guidance is written below for your convenience: All asymptomatic close contacts (within 6 feet of an infected person for a cumulative total of 15 minutes or more over a 24-hour period) may discontinue quarantine after Day 10 from the date of last exposure with or without testing.

Due to continued snow and road issues, the campuses will be closed today, January 28.  Daily live interaction with the teachers will continue just like yesterday.  We are working to provide school lunches as usual. If you get school lunches daily, you do not need to contact us for a school lunch because we will make lunches for you as usual. If you do not get school lunches daily and you would like a school lunch, please call 926-3846 and leave a message before 10:00 a.m. today. If at all possible, please come to the school to pick up school lunches starting at 11:30 a.m., the normal time.

The school campuses and the district office will open on Thursday, January 28, at 10:00 a.m. in order to give time for the snow that accumulates overnight to be cleared.  Teachers will continue with daily live interaction just like they did today.  Due to the conditions of the roads, we will not be able to provide transportation or standard lunch delivery.  For those of you signed up for school lunches, we will work on possible alternate lunch delivery options, but if there is any way for you to pick up your child's school lunch tomorrow, please do so.

Tomorrow, Wednesday, January 27, the Sisson and MSE campuses and the district office will be closed.  It will be a distance learning day for all students.  If you have a student who attends classes on campus, you will attend from home tomorrow.  If you are not able to attend your Google Meet classes tomorrow due to power or internet outage, please inform your school's office as soon as you can.  Leaving a message is fine. We will monitor the impact of any outages throughout the storm.  We will also monitor the storm throughout the week. If there is additional information or the need to modify our operations beyond tomorrow, we will inform you through our regular communication channels including the automatic caller.

We’re expecting a big snow storm Tuesday into Wednesday. Staff are preparing to conduct distance learning Wednesday even if the campuses are closed. If your child currently comes to either campus for face to face instruction, their teachers will prepare them to continue the learning at home on Wednesday. Tomorrow we will be providing lunches for Tuesday and Wednesday. You will be updated Wednesday morning with the plan for the day. We’re hoping this is the only disruption from this storm. If you have any questions please contact your child’s school.
