Shasta County Public Health has shared that there is one confirmed case of measles in Shasta County. Information about the dates and public places the contagious person visited is available on the Shasta County Public Health website.

There are currently no confirmed cases of measles in Siskiyou County, and public health officials are closely monitoring the situation.

The measles-mumps-rubella (MMR) vaccine is the best way to prevent measles. It is required of all students in public school unless the student has a medical exemption.

If you or anyone in your household is worried about possible exposure to measles, please contact your healthcare provider for guidance.
